Everyone knows The Beatles, right? John, Paul, George and RINGO!
Arguably, the greatest rock 'n' roll band ever!

Let It Be was the twelfth and final studio album by The Beatles. It was released on 8 May 1970 by the band's Apple Records label shortly after the group's announced break-up.

The event forms part of the MELBOURNE MUSIC FESTIVAL and will be staged at the Melbourne Town Hall, site of the famous 1964 Beatles balcony photograph, from 7.00pm on Tuesday October 5, 2010.

YAMAHA PSR-S710 KEYBOARD

Yamaha PSR-S710
Arranger Workstation Keyboard

I bought the Yamaha PSR-S710 with the intention of having a portable (non-bulky), fairly lightweight keyboard with as many realistic ‘voices,’ as possible. This product fulfilled all these requirements and more. I have just finished 2 different shows (roughly 25 performances and rehearsals) on this ‘workstation arranger’ keyboard and found it extremely playable despite not having fully weighted keys. Coming from a strictly acoustic piano background I am always a little weary of playing keyboards however found that the action across this product is very intuitive, and responsive to any of the faster runs that I needed to do.

Although initially sceptical that a synth would stick out amongst acoustic instruments, the many sounds I needed to use blended into the orchestra fairly seamlessly throughout the productions. With touch responsive keys and the amazing ability to control depth (and even vibrato!) of various instruments, some of the sounds I got to use even had the other musos sitting up and taking notice. As a woodwind player I was also impressed with the range of realistic orchestral to ‘ethnic’ instruments.

I haven’t even started to explore the recording and track layering capabilities of this instrument yet (or the fact that you can save straight to USB!) but from a player/performer’s perspective, I am really happy with my purchase.

Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett has played drums for Michael Jackson and the Jackson family for 30 years and would have performed with Michael on his ‘THIS IS IT’ Tour.

Moffett began playing drums at the early age of 6 and at 12, earned the nickname "Sugarfoot" because of his fast and articulate bass drum work, playing 16th and even 32nd note figures within his funky and relentless grooves!

Jonathan has performed and/or recorded with the world’s biggest acts: Madonna, George Michael, Elton John, Julian Lennon and Diana Ross. He’s appeared on popular television shows such as The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, Saturday Nite Live and Arsenio Hall. Along with Jonathan's impressive list of credits, he is a proud inductee into the marquis "Who's Who Journals" including: "Who's Who in America"; "Who's Who in the West" and "Who's Who in the World"!
