NEW @ NAMM 2011: Fender Mustang Series Amps

Fender's new Mustang I and II guitar amps have 24 highly accurate onboard amp presets with tones from vintage Fender sparkle to outrageous modern metal distortion. Arranged in three banks of eight, all 24 presets are easily and instantly accessed right out of the box with only a twist of a single knob. Mustang I is a 20-watt amp with an 8" speaker. Mustang II has a 40-watt amp, 12" speaker, and a slightly larger cabinet. Mustang amplifiers come equipped with USB connectivity and Fender FUSE software, allowing the player to connect their amp to their computer, opening up a world of possibilities including on-screen parameter control, deep editing, additional effects, unlimited preset storage, online preset swapping with the Fender FUSE community, and free Fender artist presets.

NEW @ NAMM 2011: Dixon Brady-Designed Snare Drums

Dixon has teamed up with famed Australian builder Chris Brady to unveil four Artisan series snare drums. The Brady designed Artisan snares feature 5.4mm thick, nine-ply rose gum shells with 45-degree bearing edges. Rose gum, the most dominant tree family found in Australia, is an extremely resilient hardwood - even more so than birch, maple, walnut, cherry, and oak. Other notable Artisan features include a Dunnett throw-off and butt plate, classic tube lugs, die-cast hoops and Evans heads.
